Went out yesterday to a concert yesterday. (Baked, broiled, steamed) Good concert. Had Nazareth , Cheap Trick , Ted Nugent, Deep Purple, Lynyrd Skynard. Kind of strange though. I think the are going to need to get walker access to the site pretty soon. ;) A bunch of grey haired hippie, redneck, tattooed, rockers. (No pun intended) I think the crowd was the best show, but then I may have fit in also. Just missing the tattoo. But thinking about getting one. :D
Man, your bring back memories mentioning names like that.........
Bet your glad you didn't rush out and get tat like the manga chic.....
You made a old head very happy mentioning names like Deep Purple
Dang Dang Dang Dangdang Dangdang Dang Dang Dang
Dang Dang.............
Ted Nuggent, is he still alive?????
Caught a night of Led Zeplin, Deep Purple and Jimmi Hendrix, late the other night on the idiot box. I feel old :(

It sounds like you may appreciate my avatar if it makes it over here from the old board. And Deep Purple rocked. It was kind of funny though it opened at 1:00 pm and started at 3:00 pm ended at about 12:00. Most of the folks by the time Deep Purple came on were dragging. It h*ll to get old. Went thru about 10 bottles of water by 7:00 plus hit the fountains a bunch. They still did get people up though. It did take a little bit though. (Any Houston, Texas concert I've been tto seems like the crowds are tough and don't get up, in the first place. Unless extrememly motivated.) They may be old but they still can play. Smoke on the water, hush, raisin, etc. Lynyrd did good too. Ending out the concert with Freebird. And it had cooled down enough were everyone was able to get up.

I was too young to see most of those great bands, but the best show ever for me has to be Bauhaus show on their Resurection Tour a couple of years ago. They hadn't missed a beat in 15 years.

Just experienced. ;) Have you ever been experienced?
Last really great one (At least in my mind) I went to was Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull. (Combination of effects and music) Bob Dylan (Music) next then The Rolling Stones (effects then music) I think the favorites though were the shows at Liberty Hall. Small old converted movie house. Jerry Jeff Walker, Louden (SP?) Wainright III, Neil Young. (He was great in a close up concert like that)

Jeeze... now i'm starting to feel old(again)! Here on the east coast we've been treated to some great bands like Blue Oyster Cult, BTO, Nazareth, Neil Young, Iron Maiden, Triumph, George Thoroughgood & The Destroyers, Alannah Myles and sooo many more... I can remember getting in to see The Jeff Healy Band for free, long before they were well known. They started to play "All Along the Watch Tower" as i neared the stage. Everyone was in awe of this blind guy just wailing on his guitar... amazing...

I was very young and had to beg my mom to take me. I had been listening for months on one of the first transistor radios from Japan. That was back when anything from Japan was cconsidered junk! Hard to believe now.....

Speaking of the old days... I saw Hendrix once at the Filmore West. That was thee music hall... I've seen The Who twice, Chicago once, Crosby Stills, and Nash a couple of times, The Eagles a few times, Joe Crocker once or twice, Credence Clearwater, infact met Bob Fogerty a couple of times where my mom worked (they were CPAs for the group) ((ended up getting their colective pants sued off--really bad band manager took most of the money--the CPAs did not catch it in time)) He gave me a couple of unreleased 45s which I still have to this day! Met Michale McDonald around 10 years ago while visiting my Grandparents--he was visiting his mother in the same retirement home here in Oakland. Got to know him and his wife and even got invited to his ranch /studio down south for dinner once. That was a very nice trip. My wife was quite thrilled. I've seen the Doobies a few times, McCartney once, George Harrison once, Pink Floyd once and a whole bunch of others but those memories are cloudy due to too many recreational meds in the early days. Dang those dead brain cells!
Oh to be young again.....

Let me just say, that I'm am very jealous when I hear people got to see the Beatles. I'm only 28 so I never had the chance. Not a day goes by where I don't listen to at least one of their songs. In the states their is a group called "The Tribute" They look and sound almost exactly like the beatles. (no one could ever sound as good) They tour all over central United States I believe. Not sure exactly where all they go, just know they come to Oklahoma every once in awhile. My friends have gone and said they sound fantastic. Everytime they come hear, I'm too busy to make it. I'll get to see them sooner or later.
