Find the user cp button at the top right of the page, and then select "edit options". You will find the avatars hidden in there.

Woohoo! i found it! Nooooooow............ can i make a custom one? Or do i need to be moderator or a super cruncher? I'm a centurion if that counts.................

Yup, you can make a custom one. A .gif of no more than 75x75 pixels will be fine. Send it to me at phil.harling@ntlworld.com and I'll sort it for you :)
