View Full Version : Just an idea for recuriting

I have had an idea about how to recurit more people to our team.
If you look at the big teams ([H] and Ars), they are both formed from a website. ACHO was formed from a Usenet group and I am sure many other teams are launched from websites.
The problem we have is that we are not representing anyone, no one new is really going to join our team unless we tell them about it ourselves.
Many teams were formed from websites, we need to do the reverse, and get a website to 'sponser' us, or allow us to represent them. We now have an audiance to promote the team to. This would allow us to gain some new members.
What do ya think... anyone got any ideas about websites?

Ya got a point there Jopes.
Rizz, no website is gonna sponsor us unless we advertise for them (I hate adverts). I kind of like the fact that we did all this ourselves. No banners, no adverts, no commercial backing - it's cool. :D

we got site5.com. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
they are cheaper than most.
$27 a month
27 gigs bandwidth
600 megs HD space.
we are currently soaking up around 15 gigs bandwidth and 400-450 megs disk space. we are currently looking in to our own OCN built Server:
Duel something running G@H, Lunix, and possible Counter strike server. But we are looking in to it. :D

Jopes, we got 30gig bandwidth, 500mb webspace for $19.95 all for our little team here :D
They're pretty good too! Since we told em about it, Picard (rather ninja micros) has signed up for f5 and I notice 3Dhq have too.
Actually, I think f5hosting has changed the service plans since we signed up, but their platinum deal is top -

We split the cost up among the mods, works out at about $30 each per anum.
